This test measures the speed and accuracy of the participants’ typing. The test presents the user with a medical field related passage which he/she must type as accurately and quickly as possible. This test should be given to anyone who requires their typing speed to be measured. The test lasts for 1 Minute
The Australian Standard Typing Test (AS2708-2001) measures typing speed and accuracy by providing a passage of text which needs to be typed as accurately and quickly as possible in a supervised environment, for a duration of 5 minutes.
A Certificate of Attainment is issued upon completion of the test. The certificate shows the typing speed (words per minute) and the accuracy achieved (percentage). The certificate issued with this test is suitable as evidence of typing speed and accuracy for applications to the New South Wales* and Queensland Police Force and a number of government agencies.
*Please note the NSW Police recruitment are still accepting the AS2708-2001 certificate until further notice.
The AS2708 Typing Test is conducted via a supervised Skype session*. Tests are held during normal business hours on Monday, Thursday, and Friday each week between 9am – 4.30pm.
Please download Google Chrome for use of the typing test as it is not supported by other web browsers.
*Skype for business will not be accepted.
How to purchase and book your test appointment:

-Once you’ve placed your order, you will receive a receipt from PayPal and our Online Shop.
-The receipt from our Online Shop will contain a link which will take you to the Booking System where you can book in preferred date and time for your Typing Test (this may be sent to your junk/spam folder so keep a lookout!)
-Before your Skype session, please ensure that you have photo identification at the ready, stable internet connection, a working microphone and camera.
