Marketing internship – paid
Australia’s leading climate change risk and resilience management consultancy is seeking a Sydney-based intern to join our marketing and communications team for six months.
The role
We are looking for someone who is passionate about marketing and self-motivated. This is an opportunity to kick start your marketing career and learn the practical, day to day tasks associated with the marketing function. Our aim is to provide you with the opportunity to gain the broad experience necessary to confidently enter a fast-paced B2B working environment. As an intern, there will be considerable administrative duties, however you will be exposed to numerous touchpoints within the B2B marketing discipline. You will be working in a small but friendly and supportive team. Indicatively this is a three day a week paid role.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring brand integrity is upheld by reviewing and improving presentation and report content
- Assisting with daily administrative duties; including managing staff CVs and our onboarding process, company photo library management, intranet updates, newsletter (external and internal) set up
- Assisting with our social media platforms (LinkedIn and Twitter) including drafting posts, monitoring performance, and exploring trending concepts
- Publishing relevant content on our website and intranet
- Assisting our internal sustainability initiatives
- Performing market analysis and research on the latest trends.
About you
Understanding that you will be currently enrolled or a recent graduate, we don’t expect you to have experience in our systems. We will provide full training and development to the successful applicant. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is hard working, resourceful, keen to learn and willing to give everything a go! You are:
- currently enrolled or a recent graduate from marketing, communications, design or a related field
- proficient in Microsoft Office; especially in Word and PowerPoint
- highly interested in developing your visual/graphic skills. This is a key requirement, as you will be improving the way information is presented in reports/presentations in keeping with Energetics’ brand guidelines
- known for your attention to detail
- a great communicator; both excellent verbal and written
- able to multi-task
- a self-motivated, team player
- potentially proficient in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop (Noting this would be advantageous but is not a requirement).
