Work on Australia’s largest behind the meter solar project in the morning and advise large corporates on utility-scale PPAs in the afternoon. This is a typical day for the renewables solution leader at Energetics!

Our renewables service area is growing rapidly and we are seeking an experienced industry professional to manage our delivery and sales functions, further develop the service offering, and grow Energetics’ skill base.

Energetics is Australia’s leading consulting firm advising on corporate renewable power purchase agreements having executed a number of large (>100GWh) transactions in recent months. We are also supporting many of our clients to develop their own portfolio of generation; predominantly on-site solar PV and wind. The renewables solution leader will draw on their strong technical and commercial knowledge to help our clients as they transition to a renewable energy-led future.

Energetics works with ASX200 companies and all levels of government to provide advice on climate change, sustainability and energy management challenges.  For 35 years, we have partnered with our clients to achieve cost reductions, productivity improvements and to identify trends and opportunities in a decarbonising economy. 

The role

We are seeking to appoint a renewable energy expert to work in our Perth, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office. In this role you will leverage your expertise to support project delivery, sales, quality assurance and thought leadership across a range of areas. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of technologies and delivery models and be able to hit the ground running. Skills include:
•    Strong technical knowledge of solar and other renewable energy technologies, inverters, batteries and control systems. Ability to use industry standard software and tools such as PVsyst.
•    Experience in delivery of solar projects either C&I behind the meter or larger utility scale projects.
•    Experience in procuring renewable energy products and services, drafting specifications, reviewing contracts and managing procurement processes.
•    Project management experience. 
•    Applied electrical engineering knowledge with regards to connecting behind and in front meter projects.
•    Practical experience in site assessment, project management, construction and O&M.
•    Due diligence experience to support contract reviews, yield assessments, technology assessments.
•    Understanding of PPA and D&C delivery models as well as project financing requirements.
