Patricia Hegarty
Recruitment Manager
Since 2002, Patricia has expertly managed Challenge Consulting’s recruitment and executive search services. In what is typically a transient industry, Patricia’s clients take comfort in the fact that she is not a “fly by night” recruiter, and their intellectual property and often sensitive information is both understood and tightly held.
Recruitment Management
Patricia brings a strong commercial understanding to every client. Patricia commenced her career in Banking and Finance, initially as a Customer Service Officer before rapidly progressing into leading a mid-sized branch as Customer Service Manager. Patricia’s operational and technical expertise was quickly realised as she was promoted into a head office role to provide both operational and technical support to the national branch network, before being recognised by senior management and selected to be part of, and subsequently lead a dedicated user team to work alongside specialist IT personnel charged with the development and implementation of an innovative new banking platform.
Patricia’s exceptional interpersonal skills and her ability to build partnerships at all levels was quickly identified in these operational roles, and she next moved into the key role of Personal Banking Manager where she was responsible for the account management of a portfolio of high net worth clients.
After 12 years in the retail banking sector, Patricia next transferred her account management and finance talents into the Leasing and Fleet Management sector. Building her career with a leading Australian Vehicle Leasing and Fleet Management company, Patricia was exposed to every facet of the lease lifecycle from credit approval, asset acquisition, settlement, collections, asset management through to lease termination, remarketing and disposal. Patricia also led the Novated Lease team in her capacity as Regional Manager, Vehicle Salary Packaging.
Since 2002, Patricia has led Challenge Consulting’s recruitment team. Patricia’s commercial savvy, together with her experience as both a candidate and client of Challenge Consulting, place her in a unique position to act as a trusted partner to her clients. Leading a dedicated team of Consultants, Patricia ensures client needs are consistently met and quality operational and service delivery standards are never compromised. As a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) and a member of AELA, Patricia continues to develop her network of corporate contacts, whilst ensuring she is well versed in those areas most relevant to her client base.
Executive Recruitment
Directly responsible for Executive recruitment, Patricia’s vast network and excellent research and sourcing capabilities have seen her successfully secure senior candidates for both local and internationally based clients. Executive placements include: General Manager – Software Development, Country Manager. Chief Financial Officer, Principal Consultants, Head of Operations across industry sectors such as Banking and Finance, Management Consulting, Energy and Environmental Management, Tertiary Education and Specialist IT.
