Exit Interview Consulting Programme
Current statistics show that 70% of staff leave without ever giving the real reason.
The high cost of recruitment and training makes improving these statistics even more important! |

Exit interviews are conducted with employees who are leaving, or have left an organisation. This is a vital management tool which provides valuable feedback on what they liked or didn't like about their employment and what areas of the organisation they feel need improvement. Benefits include:
Parting with the employee on good terms
Measuring the effectiveness of your recruitment processes
Identifying areas for improvement
Identifying sources of job dissatisfaction
Ascertaining if there has been an employer breach of contract
Vital knowledge will not be lost to the organisation
Exit interviews can be done relatively quickly and inexpensively
Continuous improvement in employee retention and staff attrition
Exit Interview Consulting - The Process
1. Initial Briefing
This is an opportunity for us to gain an understanding of your needs and priorities so the exit interview survey can be tailored to deliver the relevant outcomes to satisfy your particular needs and time frame.
2. Exit Interview Questionnaire Design
We will work with you to design an Exit Interview Questionnaire to target your specific issues and concerns. These questions should be open-ended so that there are many possible replies. Short-answer questions, such as those that can be answered "yes" or "no" should be avoided. It is also important to avoid leading questions that suggest the opinions the moderator hopes to receive.
You can choose from the following survey options:
Online Survey Tool - You will receive the benefits of instant reporting of results, process centralisation and the minimisation of internal interviewer bias.
Third Party Interviews - By using our skilled and trained interviewers you will receive in-depth and detailed comments and employee feedback.
3. Evaluation and Analysis
At the completion of the exit interviews your Challenge Consultant evaluates all the feedback and prepares a comprehensive report covering all aspects of the programme. The flow of information gathered in the interviews, generates valuable information for your organisation. Listening as people share and compare their different points of view provides a wealth of information - not just about what they think, but why they think the way they do.
4. Feedback Session
Your Consultant will arrange a time to come to your premises and discuss with you the findings gathered in the Exit Interview Report and make any recommendations for ongoing improvement. The feedback derived from the exit interviews is extremely valuable. In fact, exit interviews are an increasingly popular tool to learn about the opinions and attitudes of your staff.
5. Benchmark Your Employee Expectations
Employee exit interviews provide valuable feedback for you to benchmark employee expectations regarding:
Job responsibilities
Employee job orientation
Performance processes
Mentoring programs
Working conditions
Opportunities for skill development
Career advancement
