Elizabeth Varley - Managing Director

Elizabeth established Challenge Consulting Australia in 1992 to realise her commitment to total quality client service. Through Challenge she actively provides a market-based range of recruitment resources.

Her wealth of recruitment expertise began in 1977 when she joined the well respected Lawrence Bullock & Associates, where she started their permanent staff division. Elizabeth also recognised the growing demand for temporary staff services and created a division to satisfy it. She also possesses valuable international experience. For two years she worked for the Brook Street Bureau - the UK's largest supplier of temporary staff.

Elizabeth was an active member of, and tutor for, the Institute of Personnel Consultants. In recent years she has been involved with the Recruitment Consulting Services Association (RCSA) to ensure the ongoing education and professional conduct of consultants.

 



Mary Turnbull - Relationship Manager

Mary's long and varied career in human resources began when she was appointed to run the Sydney temporary division of an international recruitment consultancy.

Working primarily in the finance industry, her experience includes recruitment, employee benefits and relations, remuneration, performance management, job analysis and evaluation and succession planning. Mary subsequently became Customer Service Manager for Australia's leading fleet leasing and management company. This move gave her the opportunity to use her people skills in an operational, profit centre environment.

As a Relationship Manager for Challenge Consulting, Mary believes her strong customer service ethic, communication skills and her empathy for all points of view yield great benefits for her clients.

 



Kate Dass - Administration Manager, Psychometric and Skills Test Administrator, Career Adviser

After completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in English Literature at the University of Sydney, Kate embarked on a career in administration that has ranged across industries as diverse as community services, fashion and recruitment. More than five years with Challenge Consulting have provided Kate with exposure to many facets of the recruitment sector. In her role as Administration Manager, Kate oversees the administrative function of Challenge Consulting's City branch.

Kate is also the City branch's accredited Psychometric Testing Administrator, providing assistance, advice and testing facilitation to candidates and clients for administered and online psychometric testing services. During 2005, Kate was very active in developing Challenge Consulting's Career Guidance services, as well as the recent upgrade and expansion of its comprehensive range of online skills tests.

Kate offers a unique resource to our clients and candidates in the testing and career counselling arena. She has assisted many organisations in maximising their recruitment outcomes with tailored psychometric testing programmes. Her expertise in career counselling has seen many individuals achieve their career aspirations and visions.

Patricia Hegarty - Senior Account Manager

Patricia brings to Challenge Consulting a wealth of experience in business, project, people and client relationship management.

After 12 years in the banking industry Patricia spent a further 5 years with Australia's leading fleet leasing and management company where she progressed to Regional Manager. Her achievements include project managing the implementation of a bank wide computer system and portfolio management for the bank's high net worth clients. Before joining the Challenge Consulting team, Patricia spent 15 months with an IT organisation establishing their account management procedure.

Patricia holds a Certificate in Public Relations and has commenced a Diploma in Financial Planning.

She believes that success in business is achieved by listening to your clients and exceeding their expectations.

Parramatta and Western Region



Louise Verrier - Manager
Western Region

Rachael's management delivers a fresh approach and a new lease of life to Challenge Consulting's Parramatta office. She draws on practical, hands-on experience gained from consulting and practice management roles and cultivates a strong, productive team environment.

Her consulting portfolio includes temporary and permanent recruitment for middle to senior management roles in accounting, office support, sales, marketing, IT and other specialist areas.

Having undertaken studies in Psychology, Rachael also holds a BA with majors in Communications and Social Analysis. She has completed further studies in Human Resources through the RCSA and Deakin University and is currently studying for a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.

Rachael's strong commitment to customer service, administration and client relationships underlie the continued growth and quality management of Challenge Consulting's operations in the Western Region of Sydney.
