Team Building
Session modules and activities can include:
Team Communication
Team communication is one of key factors that impact on your team’s ability to be effective. Challenge Consulting have a range of role play and interactive activities that demonstrate the different ways people communicate and how your team members should be managing their communication with their peers and team leaders to get the best results.
Decision Making
Your team could be failing to correctly identify opportunities by using only typical ways of making decisions. This interactive activity can use one of your current business problems or a problem developed by us. Through this activity participants are forced to look at the problem from all directions, and therefore develop the skills that ensure informed decisions.
Innovation and Change
Without innovation and the ability to change your team’s achievements will become stale redundant. Challenge Consulting are able to implement a range of activities that allow members to learn the skills to look outside the square and be innovative in their work. These activities include structured brainstorming and the fishbone technique of innovation.
Conflict Management
When working with others in teams, conflict is inevitable. Conflict when managed effectively leads to enhanced work relationships and work outcomes. When team members do not understand the purpose of the conflict or don’t manage the conflict effectively, conflict can be counter-productive to the teams’ goals. Our interactive role play exercises demonstrate why counter-productive conflicts develop and the steps individuals need to take to improve their conflict management skills.
Strategic Goal Setting
One of the key factors that influence the success of a team is having a set of common goals. Through this module team members will work together to identify both individual and team goals. This module mixes goal setting theory with a focus on practical outcomes to ensure that the goals set are both strategic and realistic. Adding this module to your workshop will ensure that all the lessons learnt in the workshop will be continually used once the team is back at work.
Planning and Organising
During this module team members will identify their preferred ways of planning an organising. This is an interactive activity where team members are required to demonstrate how they would plan a specified activity. Through discussion and feedback, team members will identify how their planning style is interacting with other team members and recommend strategies to improving the way the team plans and organises.
Customer Orientation
Is your organisation suffering because your team members aren’t adapting their communication to the needs of your customers? This module is ideal for a client facing team. In this module team members identify their customer orientation and learn how their orientation matches the customers they are dealing with. Participants also learn how to adapt their style based on different customer types and preferences.
Success and Leadership
The best teams are whose leadership can be interchangeable based on the needs of the project or task. In this module team members explore what makes an effective team leader and also the pitfalls of poor management. Associated activities can include how to effectively delegate, manage performance issues, and retain the right people for the job at hand.
Self-Awareness and Discovery To work best with their other team members, individuals need to know about themselves. This module involves the use of assessment tools to identify individual preferences in problem solving, communication, organisation, and interacting with others. Through this process, team members can learn more about themselves and also the preferences of their team mates, and therefore learn how they can all best work together. |
